~ the sky moved for me ~

as we were standing on the jetty, the whole expanse above us seemed low & encompassing{please feel free to click the photos for a more majestic view}


& in the space of a few moments,
the sky moved for me,
like a kaleidescope of beauty, a motion of masterpieces roaming the heavens...


then he alighted on my brothers hand, perhaps because his wing is sore, & perhaps my brother is alot like Dickon{of the Secret Garden} in his kindness for animals...i admire them more at a distance, for they always seem to know im a little afraid :)

this week has been long nights & sleepless days, pondering heaven, a neighbourhood cat who pops in to say hello, French almond vanilla granola, & white ice cream sprinkled with cocoa, in dainty porcelein cups...

one day a while ago i was reading this list{which i found on Relyns blog} & was struck at the thought of drawing only red things...today id like to write a list instead of draw one, & picked yellow as my colour of choice...for its warmth & hope

'a little bit of Australia'

my sister went outside to collect some 'special things', & then later appeared with


a flower arrangement she called "a little bit of Australia" :)


i am ever amazed at the underside of magnolia leaves,{& the flowers star-like shape}


they are almond coloured & velvety to touch

fly on!

a fountain of immortal longing...for my brothers friend ~ of Ireland...whose flown with the angels

A Blue Monday.

today is a sprinkling of aqua, turquoise & powder blue
{because the palest shade of blue is captivating my heart so lately!}
today ~ is also finding shells on deserted landings at low tide, wispy jewelled fabric, a vintage ornament in the shape of an angel, & a doll most aptly named :)
today ~ brings with it winds of change...
{i think change to be the harness of the soul, leading us ever onward ~ to greener pastures!!!}
