near & far can be a perspective,
of seeking beauty close up & of seeing the beauty of the whole picture


near & far can be for special things that hold a value near to us now, & for others as heirlooms in future times


& a replica of a hallmark card i once saw...the front had a little girl standing at the edge facing away from the card opening


upon opening the card it was blank,
so you flipped it over instinctively


to find another person,
almost nose to nose


so close but seemingly far


& the front of a card i once gave a friend, laced with beauty...
today is bundles of loveliness
